OUGHTRINGTON HOUSING DEVELOPMENT OPENS DOORS TO PUBLIC
Linden Homes is holding a second open evening in Lymm to
give local people the opportunity to find out more about the
proposed housing development at the tank works at Oughtrington.
The meeting is being held at Oughtrington Community Centre
and commences at 6.30pm on Thursday 4th April. An outline
plan of the scheme will be on show to give interested parties
a full understanding of the scheme, which comprises a variety
of dwellings, live-work units and small commercial units.
Ian Douglas, project director at Linden Homes said: "While
our last meeting in February threw up some interesting issues,
we are keen to understand some of the other concerns of the
local community and get some constructive feedback. Our open
evening gives people another chance to see our exciting plans
which we believe set new quality standards for housing in
the North West. We are committed to safeguard the existing
natural environment and create a village atmosphere for residents."
Representatives from Linden Homes will be on hand to answer
questions relating to the proposed development at Lymm, as
well as specialist advisers on nature conservation and highways.
Linden Homes, which was founded in 1991, has long been regarded
as a leader in brownfield regeneration. Currently over 90%
of the North West's developments are built on such land.
The company has also won many awards, including Best Brownfield
Development and Best Luxury Home in the 2001 What House? Awards,
which are sponsored by the Sunday Times. It has also won an
Insider Business Magazine Award and the prestigious Planning
for the Whole Community Award in the Royal Town Planning Institute
National Awards.
