On
the 1st February 2010 this community website became 12 years old!
Lymm Net started as a university project back in 1998. After only
a month of the site being uploaded, it received visitors from all
over the world, and due to the positive feedback I decided to keep
the site running a little longer.
Over the past 12 years the website has received over 700,000 visits
from over 100 different countries! The number of visitors to the site
is still increasing, I still receive the odd email from ex-lymmites
around the world who have just discovered our site.
Since the new discussion forums were implemented in 2002, they have received
over 93,000 posts from 1325 users!
You can now join the 600+ followers of Lymm Net on Facebook, and also on Twitter too.
May I take this opportunity to say a big thank
you to everyone who visits/contributes to this site - without you,
this site wouldn't exist.
Here's to the next 12 years :-)
